Upside is a free app that gives you cash back on gas, groceries, and restaurant purchases. It works at over 45,000 locations across the US, including Shell, BP, Circle K, Taco Bell, Burger King, and many local grocery chains.<\/p>\n

How to set up Upside and save money on gas?<\/h2>\n

Before you can earn cash back, you register your credit or debit card in the app. Upside uses your card number to track transactions automatically. You do not need to scan receipts or check in manually. Just pay with your registered card and Upside does the rest.<\/p>\n

H2: How it works at the gas station<\/p>\n

  1. Open the app and look at the map. You will see gas stations near you with available cash back offers.<\/li>\n
  2. Offers range from 10 cents per gallon up to 40 cents per gallon depending on the station and the day.<\/li>\n
  3. Tap the station you want and claim the offer before you fill up.<\/li>\n
  4. Pay at the pump with your registered card.<\/li>\n
  5. Cash back posts to your account within a few days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    You have to claim the offer first. If you fill up without claiming, you do not earn cash back.<\/p>\n

    You still earn your credit card rewards<\/h2>\n

    Upside does not replace your credit card points or miles<\/strong><\/a>. You earn both at the same time. Pay with your rewards card, earn your points, and collect your Upside cash back on top.<\/p>\n

    How to cash out<\/h2>\n

    Once you hit $10 in cash back, you can transfer it directly to any US bank account. You can also redeem for gift cards. No expiration on your balance.<\/p>\n
