I’m here today to talk\u00a0 about hair loss when you’re a man, it’s a problem that affects almost one out of every two men after 30 years.<\/p>\n

Losing hair is a sudden event that makes us feel less virile and sometimes older. At least that’s how I felt a few years ago when my hair started to fall out.<\/p>\n

The beginning of my hair loss<\/a> occurred around the age of 20. It fell out during the shower, at first in small quantities, then more and more. I could see a space forming on the top of my skull. Then the top of my forehead started to gradually thin out.<\/p>\n

My first reflex was to rush to the supermarkets to buy all sorts of hair loss products<\/a>. Only, these products didn’t have any effect. Their composition didn’t work for me either. Scalp itching and dandruff, that’s all I managed to get!<\/p>\n

I decided to talk to a dermatologist. He reassured me that hair loss is a normal phenomenon and that there are better products than the ones I had already tried.<\/p>\n

He also warned me that their effectiveness depended on each person’s body and especially on the stage of the loss. Some patients have visible results quickly, while on others, the substance has little or no effect.<\/p>\n

After analyzing the causes of hair loss, he or she may prescribe one of the following medications.<\/p>\n

Propecia or its generic Finasteride<\/h3>\n

This pill has been around for a long time and many men take it daily in a 1 mg dose to slow, stop or promote hair growth. Again, it depends on the stage of your baldness and especially on your body.<\/p>\n

Beware, it has been reported as a side effect of psychiatric conditions in some patients… personally for almost 18 years that I have been taking it, I have never had any adverse effects.<\/p>\n

This medication has helped to stop my own hair loss, I have been taking it for over 15 years every morning but has not contributed to the regrowth of fallen hair.<\/p>\n

Minoxidil 5% spray to be applied to the scalp and hair.<\/h3>\n

After daily use, this spray is supposed to stimulate keratinocytes in vitro and in vivo and promote hair growth in men suffering from androgenetic alopecia.<\/p>\n

I had used it for 6 months without any results unfortunately.<\/p>\n
