Causes of baldness<\/h2>\n

The hereditary cause<\/h3>\n

Various studies affirm that baldness is a hereditary phenomenon. Take a look at your parents, your grandparents, you will see what to expect.<\/p>\n

In fact, often if members of your family have been affected by hair loss, you will be too. Some studies have proven that there was a greater risk of having baldness when our mother was affected by the phenomenon.<\/p>\n

The Genetic Cause<\/h3>\n

Through studies, we realized that one gene could be responsible for baldness. Indeed, after the age of 40, we find on chromosome 20, the gene causing baldness. In addition, the chances of becoming bald increase if you carry the baldness genes on the X chromosome and on chromosome 20.<\/p>\n

Hormonal origins<\/h3>\n

Androgen characterizes the hormones that cause the manifestation of male sexual characteristics such as hair. If these hormones are in large quantities, you are more likely to be affected by baldness in your body.<\/p>\n

The excess of androgens decreases the life cycle of the hair, which normally is about 3 or 4 years and therefore becomes about 2 years. This case is called androgenetic alopecia and is the most common cause of baldness in men.<\/p>\n

Other causes<\/h3>\n
