Paris is the capital of gastronomy par excellence, and in the multitude of Parisian restaurants on offer, I will try to share with you the best Parisian restaurants that I have had the chance to try for you.

How many restaurants are there in Paris?

Paris would count no less than 13 600 restaurants in its 20 districts, a record! To find your way around and make a choice, especially when you don’t live in Paris, can quickly become a headache.

You can rely on the comments published on Google Map but also on my travel blog to guide you and advise you some trendy Parisian restaurants, cool restaurants, starred restaurants or romantic restaurants. I’ve lived in Paris for 13 years, and during my regular stays, I’m always amazed when I walk through the streets of the city, looking for new restaurants and bars to try.

Restaurants Paris 1er

Culture, art and restaurants are the order of the day in Paris’s 1st arrondissement. Between museums and major institutions, there’s no shortage of restaurants.

From the Louvre Museum to the Halles district and Place Vendôme, all the city’s tourist and historic spots are packed with gourmet restaurants, traditional French eateries and trendy eateries that young people love.

Le Grand Véfour

Paris’s second arrondissement is teeming with businesses and start-ups. For some years now, it has been the meeting place for many young entrepreneurs and executives. The restaurants here are very varied and cater for all budgets. One of my favorites is the gastronomic restaurant at the Hôtel Bachaumont, which offers delicious menus at affordable prices.

What’s more, the 4th arrondissement is home to the largest number of Gay Friendly restaurants in Paris.

Le Comptoir du Relais

A tourist district and also the historic center of Paris, this is where I lived for over 8 years! Between the traditional restaurants near the Seine and the small neighborhood restaurants near the Pantheon, the choice is wide!

Here you’ll find Tibetan, Japanese, French, Mexican, Argentinian and my favorite Lebanese restaurant in Paris… in short, almost every cuisine in the world is represented here.

Au Petit Suisse
